Tricks n' Treats

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! OK, this time I mean it...last Halloween post of the year.  I wanted to make one last project with my Skeletons.  I wanted to make a spooky gift for my SIL.  She loves Halloween like I love Halloween.    The Perfect Candy Holder! I've been thinking about this guy holding the "HAPPY HALLOWEEN" from the Apothecary set for a couple weeks.
I inked it up and watercolor paper.

I Color Crackled the Pumpkin Parts.  It was a bone dry bottle.  So I added some water and poof it worked!

Here's a close up.

Some $1 Store bugs and a "happy Halloween" on the lid.

I used the Eileen Hull XL Square Box Die wrapped in the Kraft Resist Halloween Paper Stash.  Then I used some of my Distress Spray Stains.  BAM...color!  Then some Embossing Paste with the Halloween Stencil.

A bunch of bugs, leaves and flowers.

I Distress Spray Stain the inside of the box and stamped!

Fill with Candy!!!!!

I inked and distressed the Layered Leaf die and some Autumn Gatherings …

ATB Halloween

Update: Colored Crackle addition.  Keep Scrolling Last Halloween post... Yep, I'm pretty sure its the last.  Firstly, this was supposed to be 2 projects. But as things evolved it became one.  I was doing my daily blog rounds and came across Shelly Hickox Halloween Crow ATB!  I loved this ATB and it reminded me of the Halloween Crow I made last year.  And I just happed to have a little crow.  How the two became one?  I was working on both projects at the same time.  While something was drying on one project I would move the other.  I stacked the Eileen Hull ATB boxes on top of the platform and thought, yep, that works.
I cut the Gothic Boo using chipboard, inked with seedless preserves, crackled and then sprayed my seedless preserves distress spray stain.

I cut 2 round chipboard circles, covered in paper and attached to the Headstone dies.  After a considerable amount of paint and water then drying on these Headstones they warped a bit causing a slight tilt to the right.

A Thanksgiving Welcome

Welcome A couple weeks ago I got an email asking if I would consider being on the Frilly and Funkie DT!  My answer... YES!!!!  Every crafters dream is to be asked!  I have a handful of Blogs I love to stalk and Frilly and Funkie is one of them.  I am honored to craft with this uber talented team. The challenge is A Thanksgiving Welcome.  Now, in Canada we celebrated Thanksgiving a few weeks ago but I am all about extending this holiday!  More stuffing please.  For my first project with the DT I created this 3D Luminary.  A few of these lined up on the table would be so pretty! The 3D Luminary can be a tricky die to play with.  But once you get folding the end result is stunning.  I couldn't imagine not having this die in my collection.
I have to say the Layered Leaf die is at the top of my list for all time favorite dies.  This die comes with a texture fade folder really making this cut fantastic.  I cut with water color paper, inked with distress inks peeled paint, mustard seed …
