Stampendous/ Eileen Hull ATB Blog Hop

Stampendous and Eileen Hull's Inspiration Team have joined forces combining stamping and Artist Trading Blocks for a creative Blog Hop!  If you're new to my blog welcome!
The other day there was a fun package in the mail with 3 sets of "vintage" charm stamps!  I wanted to create with all 3 sets but there just wasn't enough time.  I used the Paris Charm Set to create my Parisian ATB!
I started my ATB off with a coat of DecoArt Chalky Finish paint.  Then I edged with black soot distress paint.
These mini stamps can easily get lost with the ATB.  However, by creating a stamped background they quickly become a delicate layer.

I stamped all the way around the ATB.  Grouping these coordinating stamps was easy.
I love the edging stamps!

After I stamped various stamps I layered with the Frameworks honeycomb die.  I followed the Tim Holtz technique to distress using glue and a distress marker.  I love creating this grungy look.

After I stamped I used my honeycomb stencil and spritzed with pumice stone.  Keeping it all tied together.

I cut the jumbo tattered pinecone creating a large rose flower.  Then added some holiday greens.

For the front of the ATB I layered a Fleur DE Les and some metal elements.

I double stacked the Eifeel  Tower.  The tattered pinecone rosettes are grouped at the base with the Butterfly Duo cut and inked with watercolor paper.

Thank you so much for Hopping by!  Be sure to check out all the amazing inspiration and follow the links.  Don't miss out on some great prizes.  Comment here and all the blogs for a chance to WIN!  They will be checking!  Good Luck!

Journaling Tuck Spots and Pockets

It is official... I am addicted to Journaling.  This is an inspiration post... why?  I may have become lost in my creativity... it happens.
Scroll through the the photos for ideas.  I have been inspired by my fellow journalers too.
I kept the cover of Eileen Hull's new Journalsimple with a flipped cabinet card and some crackle paste stenciling.

Inside there are pages of Memoranda paper and Idea-Ology from Scrap ShotzMarch Scrapbook Kit.

A mini book stuffed in a pocket too.

Nicole Wright Designs Fallen Blossomis used on the tag, stamped and watercolored with worn lipstick oxide ink.

I used pages from my 115 year old art journal to create another mini.  Stamping and watercoloring throughout each page with Garden Flower and my stamp set Fallen Blossom.

Tuck spots and pockets for stuffing notes.

The March Kit with the new Memoranda paper is perfect on it's own.  But I still cut it up and collaged with it.

I fussy cut a found relative since I am still trying to get my hands on …

Simply Spring

Just a simple card with stuff I had laying around or partially started.  What could be more easy than that.  Sometimes you just have to dig through your stuff.  Click the links below to see what I used.

You are the best... using Ranger's new Letter It stamps.

A little mixed media die cutting.

I went all inky then added a coat of clear rock candy distress glitter.  If only the shimmer came through.

Love these flowers.

A grungy little edge.

This is a simple little card with a couple of easy techniques.  We have so much snow so I guess I just need some cheery spring.

Watercoloring with Butterflies & Oxides

The Eileen Hull Inspiration Team has been sharing tutorials all month long.  I do have a video tutorial for this card but it won't be read for awhile.  Hey, it happens.  I at least have a couple of photo's until the whole video is posted on Creative Scrapbooker Magazines website.

Loving the new Oxide inks especially as we approach those soft easter pallets.

A little stamping.

I know it's not a box or cool journal.  One of my favourite dies is the Birds & Butterflies thinlit.  Yep, there are pretty little dies perfect for card making too.

I love the intricate butterfly to layer over.

A simple card and no it's not even a journal.

I will share the video when it's all done and posted.  I will even embed it in the post too.
Onto next month...
