Trio of Color

Welcome, Simon Says Stamps Monday Challenge is new this week with a great theme.  We want to see how you combine a color 3 ways!  This can be done with paper, dies, inks, embellishments...the possibilities are endless. I used my Custom Blend ink pads for my trio of color.  Then I added some paper and ribbon for more color.

I went straight for my Bird Silhouette die.  I love the gradient look of the custom blend ink pad.

I am so addicted to these Tiny Tattered Florals.  There is soooo much you can create with these.  Do you have yours yet?

I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with the inked up bird.  I mean...it's a pretty good size.  Then I thought to just stamp this awesome number stamp from the Perspective set.  I just LOVE IT!

The Handwritten Thinlits are my favorite.  I love sentiments and these take the cake.  This "Moments" in Core paper from the Journey set is  perfect.

Aren't these wee tracks the cutest stencil.  A perfect way to add a layer of texture.

One for the Show

It's Monday and that means a whole week of inspiration for Simon Says Stamps Monday Challenge.  This week we've got your "Ticket" to ride!  You can interpret this anyway you like.I love my Big Ticket die so I went straight for it using it as my foundation to create from. I love the vibrant paper from the seasonal paper stash and this fun vintage paper. It made me think of those vintage move posters.
Of course I immediately thought of my Bird Crazy birds.  I cut the paste the whiskers from Mini Blueprint #4 and put him in disguise.

Then I stamped another ticket.  In behind it all I ran some film strip and attached with the tiny attacher.

I cut the tuft of feather off his had and added it to the party hat.  I don't know why really...I just stuck it on and kind liked it.

Layering more tickets I stamped the mini ticket with this fun sentiment from the Way with Words set.  So fun ;)

The paper is so vibrant I decided to simple stamp black on white paper.  It's no…

The Baron

Just a quick note before the tag.  I have updated my blog name to Nicole Wright Designs.  It's still me... but under a new name.  OK onto the fun!
Who's done their August Tag?  So...if you don't have the Thinlit dies Tim used yet...GET THEM!  I am sure creating the background would be way easier.  I did mange though with the Alphanumeric dies but it does take time.  With that said I loved creating this background.
Meet Sir Baron Beaknfly Esquire.
Inspired by Count Pekula and Lord Wampyrby two of my favorite bloggers and their amazing August Tags.  I had to get in on the action.
I love adding the words and inking, smudging with my distress markers.

I went for a bit of a British theme.  A nod to my lovely blogger peeps across the pond.  Using British words like Fortnight, Mate, Esquire and Cheers for my background.

I love the new Crazy Things accessories set to go with my Bird Crazy stamps.  There would be no Sir Baron Beaknfly Esquire without this set.  Just sayin…
