Come Fly with Me

Happy Leap Year
I am going to use this extra day to create and share with you my version of February Tag.  I have had a busy month and I have been away for half of it traveling.  I have been home a week and I am just finally over the jet lag, sleeping and eating like normal again.
Check out my inspiration for February's Remix Tag.  I bought my kids some chocolate in Germany all because I wanted these Vintage Wrappers.

I cut the Mini Movers and Shapers Airplane and Mini Ticket.  I layered some Correspondence paper, inked and added the Here & Now rubs.

I used my stencils, Gothic, Traveler and Typo.  I used texture paste for the Traveler words and sprinkled the Copper Relique Powder on top.

I love these small talk phrases all grunged up.

I did color my photo booth image with my distress markers.  It doesn't show up as well on a darker photo.  Click HERE to see the colors used.

I popped a Tiny Floral on the bow.

My tag has been inspired by my recent adventures.  I love to t…

Along the Garden path

It's been a full week of fun with the Eileen Hull Inspiration Team  teaming up with Stampendous for their Along the Garden Path Blog Hop.
We were sent a stamp and die set to create with.  I used a couple of the stamps to create this Needle Book Keepsake.

I was sent this "cute" Mushroom Home stamp and die set.  I am not into "cute" so there it is...challenge accepted.  My goal is to take a cute stamp and make it into my style.  Love it...
For this project I used the circle and wee brick stamps on the Needle Book die cut.  I stamped the images onto the mat board.  Then with distress micro glaze I created a barrier for the spray to coat over. I used my distress spray's broken china, vintage photo, black soot and brushed pewter.  Then inside is all stamped and inky too.

Once I got to the inside I had a little fun with the small chat words.  I attached the stitched cameo popped in a photo booth image and coated it with glossy accents.

I love the finished lo…

Needle Book in 10 minutes

Needle Book die in 10 minutes are less!   Truth be told... I CHEATED!  How... I had everything sitting ready to go.  Now, I don't know about you but I always have extra die cuts, inky backgrounds and embellishments ready to just throw on a project in a hurry.
Sometimes you need stuff in a hurry!  I had the Duo Butterflies already created from another project.  The Needle Book die was already cut then I assembled some extra idea-ology, sprays, inks and other goodies.

I have 10 minutes... and GO!  I sprayed the needle book die cut with lucky clover and twisted citron distress spray's.  I stamped with the Ledger Script stamp then inked the edges with ground espresso ink.  Then I cut some of the Photobooth images.
EEK... over half way!  I popped the "pre-made" butterfly onto the front cover.  Layered some paper and added these fun Keepsake Envelopes by Scrapbook Adhesive.

I added this pretty Metal Butterfly Brad for the strap part of the Needle Book die.

I had the …
